In this one-day workshop, we will spend time in the charming garden at Bethany Arts Community where we will discover the practice of drawing ‘Plein-Air.’ Capture the beautiful landscape at BAC through descriptive and expressive drawn line in this class. Instruction will examine line quality variations and how it defines positive and negative space – the active/focal elements and surrounding spaces – as an all-important means of establishing balance, focus, and visual order in any composition.
Bringing your own materials is encouraged, both pencil/charcoal or colored drawing mediums are welcome!
