Bring your talent, your works in progress, and your positive energy to our stage. This event is open to teens and adults near and far.
ABOUT SOFÍA Brooklyn-based songwriter, singer, and community music facilitator Sofía Campoamor first started writing songs to make school projects more fun. Her sophomore album, “with all the lights on,” weaves together the lyrical intimacy of folk with the sonic edges of indie pop and rock in an exploration of the body, delving into themes of mortality, chronic illness, queerness, and intimacy. At her shows, she takes a collaborative approach, often inviting (but never requiring) you to sing along; this open mic will be conducted in a similar spirit. We’ll take time to get to know each other musically and personally, and encourage a participatory atmosphere throughout the evening’s sharing.

- Performers: respect the 5-minute time limit and be mindful of your timekeeper.
- If you like something, make some noise! Snap your fingers, stomp your feet, clap, whatever feels right to you.
- We encourage you to get to know your seat neighbors. Connect and build community.
Open Mics take place the 2nd Friday of every month.
