“I’m so Hot” by Playwright, Catherine Weingarten
Who cheats first? Men or women? What if they’re both insanely hot? In this adaptation of “La Dispute” by Marivaux, a Prince captures hot people to see who cheats first!! It’s like olden day French reality TV.
About the Artist
Catherine Weingarten is a friendly jewish chick from an obscure area of Pennsylvania! Her plays use comedy to expose the societal pressures on young women to be impossibly good looking as well as ridiculously intellectual, humble, kind as can be, but also sexy. Catherine’s summer camp play “Are You Ready to Get PAMPERED!?” had a reading at 59E59 with Less than Rent and also was part of Dixon Place’s Bingo Lounge. Some of her other plays include: Pineapple Upside Down Cake (KCACTF:national semi-finalist), Janis and the Big BAD World (Semi-finalist at Wide Eyed Productions), A Roller Rink Temptation (NOLA Fringe), and Love Potion Number Slut (Tiny Rhino).
