Surrealist Sculpture Class for Kids

Teaching Artist, Anna Adler, leads this found object sculpture class using salvaged materials, basic hand tools, and elementary sculpture techniques, including assemblage and bricolage. Students strengthen their creative problem-solving skills and engage their imagination in making unique hybrid objects inspired by work in the galleries, explorations of the beautiful Bethany grounds, as well as modern and contemporary artists. Instructor Bio: Anna Adler is an artist, educator, cultural worker, and mother, functioning at the intersection of life and art. She maintains an interdisciplinary creative practice of image and object making, curating, and community building. Anna’s teaching experience (of nearly 20 years) spans toddlers to older adults and almost everyone in between. Her work has been shown in a myriad of places and spaces, including NYC, Philly, Prague, and Berlin, to name a few.
