Founder’s Corner (June 2024) – A Vibrant Celebration of Art, Culture, and Community

Greetings to the Bethany Community! As the founder, I’m happy to share the exciting lineup of events and programs we have in store for you this June at Bethany Arts Community.

Let’s kick things off by giving a shout-out to the LGBTQ+ community as we celebrate Pride Month. We’ve got a fantastic array of events and exhibitions that showcase the incredible talents and contributions of LGBTQ+ artists and their allies. And let’s not forget about the dads out there! Father’s Day is just around the corner, and we’ve got some heartwarming installations, poetry readings, and storytelling sessions lined up to celebrate the unwavering love and guidance of fathers. It’s a beautiful reminder of the profound impact they have on nurturing our creative spirits.

Speaking of nurturing creativity, we’re also honoring the achievements of our graduating artists this month. These talented individuals have dedicated themselves to the pursuit of artistic excellence, and we couldn’t be prouder.

Summer is just around the corner and we are busy getting ready for our third year of summer camp centered of course on the arts! Bethany Kids CREATE camp provides an array of opportunities to explore and participate in a variety of multidisciplinary art and nature activities every day. We are especially excited about collaborating with our campers on a community art project of their own design. We look forward to helping our campers think and create “outside the box” at Bethany Kids CREATE camp and can’t wait to meet all of our families this summer! At the heart of it all, Bethany Arts Community is a place where diversity, mutual respect, and understanding are the cornerstones of nurturing creativity and artistic expression.
