Mosaic Jewelry Workshop with Lydia Shepard of The Chicago Mosaic School
Dates & Times: Friday, November 13th, 6pm-9pm
Cost: $110.00
Make a one-of-a-kind original piece of mosaic jewelry and learn some new skills in our fun 3-hour workshop. Students will design and complete two mosaic pendants from start to finish that expresses a personal, one-of-a-kind style. A range of studio materials, such as glass, stone, and millefiori are available for this workshop. Basic mosaic glass cutting techniques and ideal jewelry adhesives will be discussed for each of the two types of jewelry bases.
All materials are included. No prerequisite. Returning students welcome!
Lydia Shepard
PRINCIPAL FACULTY, The Chicago Mosaic School
Lydia is a graduate of the University of Vermont with a Bachelor of Arts in English and Studio Arts. Since moving to Chicago six years ago, she has been active in the arts in a variety of ways, including as a contributing writer for an online arts publication, curating and preparation for art galleries, large-scale public art, community outreach, and fundraising for nonprofit arts organizations. Since being introduced to mosaic arts, she has studied in Ravenna, Italy, and is currently a CMS Certification student. Her knowledge and skills in mosaics are constantly evolving, and she is so excited to be part of a community full of other incredibly talented artists.
