An Object of Curiosity Presented by The Katonah Museum Artists’ Association
Exhibit dates:
April 1st – 30th
An Object of Curiosity is Presented by The Katonah Museum Artists’ Association. The dictionary definition of an object of curiosity is “a tangible and visible thing”, “a person or thing seen as a focus or target for feelings, thought, etc.”, “something strange or unusual”. What piques our interest, arouses, stimulates, or excites us? An image that is mysterious to us may provoke contemplation of new thought and reflection. KMAA members have responded to this theme in this juried exhibition.
Our juror, Karlyn Benson, is a gallery director and curator based in Beacon, NY. She is currently Director at Fridman Gallery in Beacon. As of March 31 Karlyn is Interim Curator and Exhibitions Manager at the Dorsky Museum at SUNY New Paltz.
