Intensive Weekend Workshop with John Hyde
3D Printing initially used for industrial prototyping has entered the homes and studios of artists. Students in this workshop will learn how to conceive, design, and finish a sculpture using Bethany Arts Community’s 3D filament printer and a resin printer on loan.
Dates: Friday, February 25, 7:00 PM, Saturday, February 26, 9 AM – 6 PM, Sunday, February 27, 9 AM – 6PM
Sessions: 120 minutes Friday night, 8 hours Saturday and 8 hours Sunday
Student Level: Intermediate
Ages: Adult 18+.
Number of participants: 8
Student materials Required: Windows or Mac laptop from 2015 or newer. ZBrush core mini, and PrusaSlicer.
Skills: Computer literacy required.
Experience with 3D modeling programs is nice to have, though not mandatory.
Artistic sculpture fundamentals are helpful, though not mandatory.
Fee: $450
Includes basic materials for the creation of your 3D printed sculpture.

Note: Students will be required to be vaccinated. Participants must bring their card or NY empire pass on their phone to the class.
